The rules of using Predict26 — what you can do, what we'll do, and what happens if things break.
Last updated: 29 May 2026
Predict26 is a web app that runs a friendly prediction game for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. You and your group predict match scores, an automated engine scores them against real results, and a leaderboard ranks everyone. It's for fun and friendly competition.
This is not a gambling product. It is a free / paid prediction game intended for entertainment among groups of friends, family, and colleagues. Use of Predict26 to run real-money betting pools is your responsibility and must comply with the laws of your jurisdiction; we do not process or facilitate stake payouts.
Predict26 is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, the FIFA World Cup, or any national football association.
Your account is tied to your Google email. Keep your Google account secure — anyone who controls your Google account controls your Predict26 account.
You can delete your account anytime by emailing [email protected] from the address tied to your Google account. See the Privacy Policy for the full deletion flow.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity. For minor issues we'll usually email first.
The admin of a group sets the rules, prizes, and (if paying) the plan. Admins are responsible for the content they put into group name, description, and prize copy.
Admins do not receive members' email addresses — only the nickname each member chose. Admins can remove members from their group; removed members keep their account on Predict26 but can no longer access that group.
Paid plans are billed in EUR (or the local currency shown at checkout) via Stripe. Stripe handles your payment details directly; we never see your full card number.
Two payment models are supported, picked by the admin during group setup:
Corporate plans for 50+ players are quoted individually; reach out via the Corporate form on the homepage.
If your group is materially broken (we can't process predictions, the leaderboard is wrong by our fault, the service is unavailable for >48h during the tournament) in the first 14 days after activation, email [email protected] for a refund. After 14 days we may issue partial refunds at our discretion.
We don't offer refunds for buyer's remorse after group setup is complete (rules confirmed, members invited).
You own your predictions, your nicknames, and your group's rules + prize copy. By submitting them you grant Predict26 a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process them solely for the purpose of running the service for you and your group.
We don't claim any ownership over your content beyond what's needed to run the app, and we don't use your content to train models or generate marketing material.
The Predict26 logo, brand, source code, fixtures list, scoring engine, UI, and copy are owned by the operator of Predict26. You may not republish them as your own product. You may link to Predict26 freely; press / fan-blog use is welcome.
Fixture data is sourced from publicly available FIFA tournament schedules. Player data (for award picks) is sourced from FBref, Transfermarkt, and equivalent public sources.
We do our best to keep Predict26 up 24/7 during the tournament window (11 June – 19 July 2026). However:
PREDICT26 IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or 100% accurate (e.g., we depend on public data sources for match results; if FIFA corrects a result, we will re-score accordingly).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Predict26's liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the service is limited to:
Predict26 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, bragging rights, group chat reputation, or fantasy-football crowns.
You can stop using Predict26 anytime by signing out and (if you want) requesting account deletion. We can terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms (cheating, harassment, illegal use, fraud). If we terminate a paid account in the first 14 days for reasons other than your breach, you get a refund.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, where the operator is based. Disputes that can't be resolved by emailing [email protected] will go to the courts of Madrid, Spain — except where consumer law in your country grants you stronger rights (in which case those rights stand).
If we materially change these terms (e.g., changing how payments work or what content rights you grant), we'll show an in-app banner the next time you sign in and give you 30 days' notice before the new terms apply. Trivial fixes we just push.
Continued use of Predict26 after the notice period means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept them, sign out and request account deletion within the notice period and we'll refund any prepaid balance.
